End of the Season
Another golf season comes to an end, this time with yours truly in posession of the Valleywoods Cup. Unfortunately the season was incredibly short for both Texas and I, as neither one of us got out more than five times this year. Moving to London has been tough on the golf game, and having Boomer move to the Middle east has certainly put a cramp in making our regular tee-off times.
There’s always next year, however, and although I’ve put my clubs away – there’s snow on the ground here, and it’s only October 28th – I look forward to the new season. My bag has changed over the year, so here it is:
Driver - PureFit DCV with Accuflex Evolution shaft [regular stiffness]. I enjoy this driver, though lack of regular practice has made me wonky with it. Can’t speak highly enough about the shaft.
3 Wood, 5 Wood- My old Spalding Executives have gone the way of the dod and been replaced with two Hogans. This was the best deal Golf Town ever had: two Hogan woods for $50 at the end of the season last year. W00t!
Hybrids – 20 degree [3] Genex 3DX Ironwood with Aldila 75-R shaft; Hogan [5] hybrid
Irons – Purefit ID Tri-Cavity [5-PW] with Accuflex mid-firm graphite shafts
Wedges - Adams Golf Tight Lies sand wedge with +1.25″ steel shaft [56 deg]; Cleveland tour Action 900 with True Temper +1.25″ steel shaft [54 deg]; Purefit ID Raw with graphite shaft [51 deg]
Putter – I’ve got two YES! putters now, and I love them both. Currently I play with the Sophia.
See you next season, or whenever.
